Happy B-day "T"

For the 6th time in 7 years, Toby got to celebrate his birthday in Winter Park, Colorado. This year may rival this first (feet in his birthday cake) for memorability....

Coming down the mountain on Toby's birthday, the transmission went out on our rental van, causing the vehicle to lose power and several times stop in the middle of route 70 coming around the Rockies! Luckily, if the vehicle was turned off for a few seconds and restarted, it would often regain enough power to once again go a few more feet...then inches...then not go forward at all, but begin to coast backward. Praise God, he allowed the van to regain just enough power after our last stall-out behind a blind corner and we were able to inch to a wide area just off the road safetly.

We spent the next 1.5 hours of Toby's birthday here (granted a very beautiful view). Luckily, the tow truck was at the airport rental place already (so it didn't take the estimated 2.5 hours we were told to expect) and he brought out a new--working--van to trade out with us.
Memories!!!
